Hokudan International Symposium on Active Faulting 2010
17 – 21 January 2010, Hokudan, Awaji Island, Japan.
The symposium coincides with its 15th anniversary of
the 1995 Kobe earthquake and will be held where the source fault
ruptured the ground and is preserved in a museum.
Following the 2000 and 2005 successful symposium, this meeting also
aims at understanding active faulting and large earthquake in order
to reduce hazards from earthquakes. Archeoseismology and mass
movement studies are also to be introduced as well as recently
