Hydrological Yearbooks

Territorial jurisdiction of the Departmental Offices of the National Hydrographic Service

  • Venice: basins flowing into the upper Adriatic coast north of the Po and along the coastal stretch between the former Italian-Yugoslavian border and Porto Levante, including the Veneto lagoon surfaces;
  • Parma: Po basin and coastal stretch between the outlet at Porto Levante and outlet at Porto Garibaldi. The branch sections in Turin and Milan published the yearbooks from 1921 to 1935 independently;
  • Bologna: basins flowing into Adriatic coast from the Reno to the Tronto and coastal stretch between Porto Garibaldi and the mouth of the Tronto;
  • Chienti-Pescara: basins with outlet on the Adriatic coast, from the Salinello to the Fortore and coastal stretch between the mouth of the Tronto and the Fortore (until 1932 the Department was also responsible for the area later assigned to the Bari Office);
  • Bari: basins with outlet on the Adriatic and Ionian coast, from the Candelaro to the Lato and the coastal stretch between the mouth of the Fortore and the mouth of the Lato (until 1932 the area fell within the jurisdiction of the Department of Chieti);
  • Catanzaro: basins with outlets on the Ionian and Tyrrhenian coasts, from the Bradano to the Noce and the coastal stretch between the mouth of the Lato and the mouth of the Noce;
  • Naples: basins with outlets on the Tyrrhenian coast from the Carigliano to the Bussento and stretch between the mouth of the Noce and the mouth of the Garigliano;
  • Rome: basins with outlets on the Tyrrhenian coast from the Fiora to Lake Fondi and the coastal stretch between the mouth of the Garigliano and the mouth of the Fiora;
  • Pisa: basins with outlets on the Tyrrhenian coast from the Serchio to the Albegna and the coastal stretch between the mouth of the Fiora and the mouth of the Magra (until 1932 the Department was also responsible for the area later assigned to the Genoa Office);
  • Genoa: basins with outlets on the Ligurian coast from the Italo-French border to the Magra and the coastal stretch between the mouth of the Magra and the Italo-French border; (until 1932 the area came within the jurisdiction of the Department of Pisa).
  • Cagliari: basins of the Region of Sardinia (from 1975 onwards: Regional Hydrographic Office);
  • Palermo: basins of the Region of Sicily (from 1975 onwards: Regional Hydrographic Office);
  • Bolzano: area of the Province of Bolzano (published by the Office of the Autonomous Province from 1975 onwards);
  • Trento: area of the province of Trento (published by the Office of the Autonomous Province from 1975 onwards).
