CARG project - Geologic and geothematic cartography

Guidelines

The mapping of the new Geological Sheet of Italy requires regulatory instruments that can guarantee uniformity of contents and representation; these regulations are defined applying the guidelines drawn up by the Committees and Work Groups contained in the Quaderni, Serie III.

This series is designed as a platform for the exchange of opinions and for the further development of the issues dealt with, and is intended to favour the debate between operators involved in the Progetto Carta Geologica (Geological Map Project) through the publication of guidelines and regulations for mapping, representation of data and digitisation of the products, and – should it be deemed necessary – of their subsequent amendments and/or additions during use.
