National air emissions inventory (CORINAIR-IPCC)
The national emission inventory collects data on: emissions of
greenhouse gas, acidifying and eutrophicating substances,
tropospheric ozone precursors, benzene, particles, heavy metals,
aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons, dioxins and furans. Emissions
coming from over 300 anthropic and biogenic activities are
estimated according to the CORINAIR method.
Through the Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea Protection these
are transmitted to the European Commission, to the Convention on
Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP) and to the
Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate
Change (UNFCCC). Updating of methods and
emission factors is carried out by the UNO Task Force on Emission
Inventories and Projections (TFEIP-UNECE) and by
IPCC working groups. The information is diffused on the
EIONET European Environment Agency
network and included in the National Statistics System
(SISTAN).
The main databases produced are:

national emissions in atmosphere
Database of
provincial emissions in atmosphere
