Large combustion installations

Data acquisition related to the large combustion installations from APAT as provided by the environment enabling act.

The Legislative Decree of April 3rd 2006, number 152 states at the article 274 (Acquisition and transmission of data about the large combustion installations emissions) that ”by May 31st every year, beginning from 2006, the operators of the large combustion installations have to communicate to the Agency of Environment Protection and Technical Services, according to the conditions provided from the third part of the second Annex till the fifth part of the present decree, the total emissions of sulphur dioxide, dusts and nitrogen oxides related to the previous year, determined in accordance with the prescriptions from the fourth part of the second Annex till the fifth part of the present decree, and the annual total quantity of energy produced respectively by the biomasses, other solid combustibles, liquid combustibles, natural gas and other gas, referring to the clean caloric value and the characterization of the emissions abatement systems”

Large combustion installation refers to any combustion installation whose thermal power is not inferior to 50 MW, except the exclusion stated at the article 273, paragraph 15.

The decree states that the above mentioned data must be gathered and sent in electronic format. A special form has been prepared for the data acquisition in an excel electronic page.

The filled in form must be sent via e-mail to the addresses mentioned below, specifying it is about the “large installation data form”. The installations operators are kindly requested to undersign the communication with digital signature based on a qualified certificate issued by a credited certificatory according to the legislative decree 82/2005.
