sites.The most updated and recent information on air quality in
Italy is currently available on web sites managed by the
different local authorities. These include Regions, Provinces,
Municipalities and Regional and Provincial Agencies
in charge of Environmental Protection (ARPA and APPA). These web
sites can be accessed by selecting the Region of
interest from the side map.
Information is generally related to the following pollutants:
ozone (O3), PM10
particles, sulphur dioxide (SO2),
nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon
monoxide (CO) and benzene (C6H6).
Information is normally updated on a daily basis.
Considering the rapid diffusion of data, most of the information
should be considered temporary. Indications on the progress of data
validation are only available in some cases.
