ISPRA Report "Residues of plant protection products in water - Annual Report, 2006 data"

ISPRA carries out a coordination activity for the monitoring of plant protection products in water. The project, launched in 2003 by APAT, involves the regions and regional agencies for the protection of environment, who collect and transmit the data to ISPRA, which is entrusted with the task of coordination, assessment and reporting of information.
The 2006 data strongly confirm a state of contamination already observed in previous years. For some substances contamination is widespread and affects both surface water and groundwater of different regions and suggest the need of impact mitigation actions.
