The second International Conference  "Waters in Protected Areas" is an important continuation of the European project of the European Water Association (EWA), sponsored also from the UNESCO and from the International Water Association, based on the principal problems, challenges and strategies, threats and potentiality of the protected areas for the maintenance and the rational use of the natural resources, for the ecosystems and the cultural heritage safeguard. The main topics of the Conference will be: the water management in the national parks; groundwater and surface water; the dangers for the coastal zones; the hydraulic infrastructures in the ancient cities.
