The universal value of the Alpine Arc through the scientific outcomes of the studies carried out in the areas of high environmental relevance and the protected areas of the Alps

The Meeting is to be the best occasion to present the first worldwide
results of some important scientific studies carried out in the last decade with the Italian coordination. In particular some important projects will be illustrated: ECALP with its important outcomes, aiming at accurately assessing the ecopedological characteristics of the alpine territory in order to obtain an updated soil infomation system and to better face the growing concern with climate change and other relevant scientific studies on the conservation of wild species (Alpine flora and fauna) carried out by Italy in the framework of the Alpine Convention.
