First National Conference of Operational Oceanography

ISPRA is between 8 members of the Council decision of National Group of Operational Oceanography (GNOO)
On days 8, 9 and 10 June 2009 Genoa will host - in the halls of the Aquarium and the Museum of the Sea - The First National Conference of Operational Oceanography, organized by the National Group of Operational Oceanography in coincidence with the World Ocean Day.
The National Group of Operational Oceanography (GNOO) - structure relating to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - operating since 2003 in support of and coordination of national activities on marine monitoring and forecasting. The GNOO has 8 members which are part of the College, in which the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea acts as the first funding institution: INGV, CNR, Hydrographic Institute of the Navy, Air Force, ARPA -EMR, CONISMA, ENEA, OGS and soon ISPRA.
