The contribution of bio-stratigraphy to the implementation of Geological Cartography

The event is marked by the presentation of the volume n. LXXXIV of descriptive memories of the Geological Map of Italy: "Micro-palaeontologic and bio-stratigrafic Research on the Mesozoic of the carbonate platform of the Latium-Abruzzi (central Italy)”, and by a seminar about the applications of topics covered during the presentation of volume and an excursion on the ground. The idea is to make known the results of scientific knowledge about the Mesozoic through the carbonate platform, and to support and revitalize the role of palaeontology and stratigraphy as disciplines which are still useful in the field of Earth Sciences.
