Recomposition of risk in
industrial areas: experiences of Environmental Agencies
System Rome, May 7 – ISPRA, Fazzini hall, Via
Curtatone 3
The D.lgs.334/99 and D.lgs.238/05, national legislation transposing
the European Directive Seveso, have provided specific provisions
for the industrial areas with high concentration of plants at risk
of accident identified in the national territory, including the
establishment of an integrated security study of the area
(SSIA).
Italy has developed remarkable experience in the field, with the
significant contribution of environmental agencies, in application
contexts such as industrial areas and port of Livorno, Porto
Marghera and Augusta-Priolo-Melilli.
The Technical Seminar is an opportunity to review the different
experiences, from the perspective of the coming and long awaited
legislation developments in this field.
