180 m2 of geological maps: the project for a national
geological cartography 20 years later

Twenty years after
the CARG project launching for the realization of a national
geological cartography at the scale 1.50:000 and on the occasion of
the International Year of Planet Earth, the Geological Service of
Italy, the Regions and the autonomous Provinces organize an
expo-convention entitled "180 m2 of geological maps: the project
for a national geological cartography 20 years later". The event
aims at showing some of the geological peculiarities of the Italian
territory, drawing on the experience accumulated during the
realization of the geological sheets.
