On the occasion of the International Day for
Biological Diversity (
http://www.cbd.int/ibd/2008),
this year on “Biodiversity and Agriculture”, following
the APAT workshop of Jan. 16-17, 2008, and in relation with the 9th
Meeting of the Conference od Parties (COP9) in Bonn for the
Convention on Biodiversity, the Italian Agency for Environment
Protection and Technical Services organizes on May 22, 2008 the
first topic day on biodiversity of Italian soils.
An update on the state-of-art of the various groups living in the
soils, their use as biological indicators within monitoring
networks and the development and sharing of adequate databases far
an in-depth and exhaustive analysis of the environment and the
causes of its depletion.
