Coastal management: experiences in Emilia-Romagna and in all Italy

The conference offers an opportunity to update on the state of regional coasts and on the management of coastal defence for the next 10 years, taking into account adaptation to expected climate changes.
With the study conducted by Arpa Emilia Romagna “State of the coast of Emilia-Romagna in year 2007 and ten-year management plan”, which is presented on this occasion, the region makes another step forward in defence of the coast, marking the shift from a safeguard model based on emergency to a management program of medium-long term.
