The challenge of environmental transparency: politics, instruments and experiences in comparison

The gradual aknowledgement of the citizens' rights of access to environmental information is one of the fundamental elements of the new environmental governance model, based on transparency. The legislative and policy evolution highlights the importance of a correct information management as strategic element of the territory governance.
The workshop is an occasion of reflection and exchange among all the interested subjects, in order to provide enviromental information ad to increase the transparency and the trustworthiness of the activities and services.
The initiative was realized in the context of the Project "Reporting Ambientale e Stato dell'Ambiente Misura 1.1 del POR in Campania 2000-2006" (Environmental Reporting and State of the Environment Measure 1.1 of POR in Campania Region 2000-2006). ARPAC, Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale", CNR-ISGI, Cattedra Jean Monnet are in the the scientific coordination commitee.
