Environmental sensitivity of forest soils
and of superficial waters, vis-à-vis acidifying substances,
such as nitrogen, and euthrophic substances, is used to establish
loads and critical levels. Maps on the Italian peninsula have been
drawn and are presented in the volume, together with some maps of
basic data ANPA
