Geo-mineral parks and Geoparks: experiences of management and valorisation of the territory

  Rome,November 20, Ispra, via Curtatone 3 The conference, organized by the ISPRA Department of Nature Protection, in collaboration with Federculture, within the context of the 'International Year of Planet Earth", aims to enable an information exchange and experiences sharing among the Italian Geo-mineral parks and geoparks, in order to revitalize the mining areas that seem destined to a definitive degradation.
During the symposium will be presented the book "Guidelines for the management and use of Geo-mineral sites and parks."

The instruments of MedWet for wetlands inventory, assessment and monitoring

Riserva Naturale Nazzano (Nazzano Natural Reserve), Tiber river-Farfa (RM), November 18-20
The course is part of the activities of MedWet (Mediterranean Initiatives of Ramsar Wetlands Convention-Iran, 1971) which counts the creation of an inventory of wetlands in the Mediterranean. It is designed to train technicians to develop the Italian contribution to the PMWI (Pan Mediterranean Wetland Inventory).
The initiative is addressed to technicians of the system of environmental agencies, of the Regional Administrations, of protected fluvial and coastal marine environments and of other scientific bodies, responsible for the managing and monitoring activities related to these areas.
